Snow-lion’s is a team of mother (Lis Kaufmann) and daughter (Pi Rasmussen) who share their passion for the lhasa apso. Lis is the breeder and Pi is the handler and groomer. We both live in southern Denmark but in showing the dogs we have been privileged to travel and make friends in big parts of Europe.
It all started back in 1990 when we bought our first lhasa apso. But one became many and the pet dogs became show dogs.
To day all our dogs go back to CH Saxonspring’s Martini, who was bred by the legendary Jean Blyth. We seek to combine the classic British outline and temperament with the type and qualities of the continental lhasa apso. An example of this combination is Multi Champion Snow-Lion’s David Bowie who due to his stay with De Koempfer lhasa apso’s ( France) has offspring in big parts of Europe.
We strive towards breeding healthy, elegant and friendly dogs in familiar surroundings, and we rarely have more than one litter pr year.
At present out show team consist of Kutani Travelling Man, NLJCH Snow-lion’s Rosa Mundi and Snow-Lion’s Rosa Canina
